As a senior technical consultant, I work on projects to digitalize and automate document workflows. My aim is to find solutions to improve these workflows for customers. Analysis, implementation, testing, installation and support are all part of my daily work.

With a bachelor and a master in computer science, I found in IRIS my first employer, and I have been working here for 10 years now. IRIS is a very open and understanding company. Everyone can contribute and come up with their own ideas at any time. Next to that, I believe IRIS is a very human company, there is a lot of communication between colleagues which makes work very pleasant. People here are so open that any subject can be discussed without any taboos. As a senior consultant, my colleagues, especially the juniors who are just starting out with the same technologies as I am, can count on me when in need of help.

Outside of work, I play mini football. In fact, IRIS has their own team of which I am a member. We play matches about every Wednesday. As a sportsman, my other activities are walking and running.

In 2017, I got married in Colombia. Back in Belgium, my manager informed me of an emergency at a client in Toulouse, France. I told him that I had a little problem, because I didn’t know how to leave my wife, who is Colombian, in Belgium, as it was a completely new country for her. So they offered to take her with me, and I had the chance to spend a second honeymoon with her!

At IRIS, it’s important to be yourself. As they say in French: “le naturel revient toujours au galop” which can be translated as “what’s bred in the bone will come out in the flesh”!
