As an analyst developer, my projects are wide and varied. With a large team of consultants, we work together in projects but are also grouped per classification for regular meetings; analysts, developers, architects, and system engineers are the four groups currently active. This enables us to exchange thoughts and experiences with colleagues with the same competencies.

I studied computer science and I always wanted to work in IT. My very first job was at IRIS. IRIS gave me the opportunity to work with them and trusted me from the very first days of my job. Outside of work, I am still a student in computer science and I am taking my Master’s degree so that I can develop my skills and have more responsibility.

I really like my colleagues. I get on well with both my colleagues and my managers. I consider my colleagues to be a group of friends with whom we really get along. Here, everyone is equal and you don’t feel a strong hierarchy between people.

As a developer, there’s always the risk to get isolated working alone on a project. Working hybrid, meaning I’m working from home and in the office, I still have the opportunity to get together with my colleagues on a daily basis.

In order to stand out, I think it is important to try, to be able to be active in multiple projects and to continuously train yourself. This will help you gain more experience and skills. I’m happy this opportunity exists at IRIS!
