As a Business Analyst and Development Team Leader at IRIS for 5 years now, my days are filled with calls and meetings. Indeed, I translate business needs into technical information understandable to the developers. So I manage a whole team and am available to answer all their questions and remarks.

Every morning, I have a meeting with the entire team at the Ministry of Finance, for which I work full-time. Next to this, I’m regularly in contact with the Scrum Master, the different testers and other analysts. There’s absolutely no lack of human contact in my job, and that’s what I like about it. In fact it’s the opposite, I have a diverse central position in the heart of the various projects I’m involved in.

At work, I am surrounded by professional, serious and friendly people. Of course, we’re at work, but at IRIS IMS there is a certain humanity that is quite rare these days.

I would describe myself as a good listener who knows how to have fun within reason. Because yes, at work, it is necessary to remain close to your colleagues. It is through these contacts that IRIS maintains a family spirit. We are not just colleagues, the relationship is stronger than that. If there is a problem, we try to understand and change it. I hope that we will keep this vibe as long as possible!

I remember when I finished my studies as a developer, I sent out about 30 CVs all over the place. One of my last interviews was with Belgacom, which has since become Proximus. I remember that the interview took place in one of the Belgacom Towers. I stopped in front of the tower because I was impressed and I said to myself: “But you’re wasting your time again, how do you want to be hired by a company like that?”. I wanted to leave but I decided to do the interview.. and I got it! So, never be afraid of the unknown.

To apply for a job at IRIS, I would say you have to be engaged but honest. You have to have the courage to say what you are good at and what you are not good at, rather than trying to adapt to the company or the person in front of you.

If you do so, I’m sure you will get your shot at IRIS, and we as a team will be there to help you!
