As a Business Consultant, I analyse and design all the relevant processes in an organisation to achieve the end goal of a project. I act as a support person for all stakeholders in an organisation, and transfer their needs to our developers (and vice versa). Projects aren’t complete without accurate documentation, which is also part of my job at IRIS.
Originally born in Colombia, I’m now with IRIS in Belgium since 2021. I studied Industrial Engineering in Colombia after which I relocated to Spain to do my master’s in Information Technologies in Manufacturing and Robotics.
I joined IRIS after a long break of more than 5 years in my professional career. Nevertheless, the team at IRIS trusted me and gave me a chance. They are very open and don’t hesitate to offer opportunities, you just need to grab them with both hands! My colleagues are all very nice to me. On my side I try to be as helpful as possible to others too.
Looking back on my move to Europe, I found it especially strange to get used to the different seasons…It was not just the change of temperature, I also had to get used to the availability of fruits and vegetables, and a different wardrobe.. When I made a trip to Stockholm I was again shocked about wearing coats in summer and suffering daylight until 2am, I still don´t get it in my head. It amazed me how people get use to those hard changes so easily… so here you have a picture of lovely summer at 11pm!
Being honest is a very important characteristic when you come to IRIS. IRIS is a multicultural company and accepts everyone with their differences. My advise for success? Be yourself and don’t pretend, your individual personality is a big asset in our team!
