why iris?
certifications
At IRIS, quality management, information security, operational resilience, and sustainability are at the core of our values and operations.
Two Japanese words: kyo (共) and sei (生), which literally mean ‘co-living’, are the foundation of Canon’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei – living and working together for the common good. This philosophy shapes a belief in seeing all people living harmoniously and working together to contribute to a prosperous society.
As a Canon company, IRIS fully embraces Kyosei, as demonstrated by several certifications and activities below.

iris is co2 prestatieladder certified
a sustainability tool to help reduce carbon emissions
The CO2 Prestatieladder is a sustainability tool designed to help organizations reduce their carbon emissions. It functions as both a CO2 management system and a procurement tool, encouraging companies to gain insights into their energy use and carbon footprint. The ladder consists of five levels, with each level requiring more comprehensive measures to reduce emissions. Up to level 3, organizations focus on reducing their own emissions, while levels 4 and 5 extend these efforts to the entire supply chain and sector.
The benefits of the CO2 Prestatieladder are significant. Organizations that achieve certification can reduce energy costs, save on materials, and drive innovation. The ladder promotes transparency and continuous improvement, as certified organizations must regularly communicate their CO2 reduction policies and participate in sector initiatives. This commitment to sustainability not only enhances corporate responsibility but also aligns with global efforts to combat climate change.
Our management system for the CO2.awareness of activities of the organisation complies with the requirements of level 3 of the handbook as audited by TÜV NORD.
our commitment to dora compliance
preparing for the digital operational resilience act
At the heart of Canon’s corporate philosophy is Kyosei, a principle that signifies our dedication to contributing to the prosperity of humanity while protecting our shared world. Canon takes its social responsibility seriously, which is why we have long been committed to safeguarding personal information for both our customers and employees, training our staff, and critically evaluating our partners based on these principles.
In light of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), we are already aligned with the stipulated requirements and guidelines. However, to further integrate these within the framework of DORA, we have been diligently working to ensure that all relevant ICT services provided by IRIS to our clients are transparent and compliant through a thorough due diligence process. Any gaps identified during this analysis are promptly addressed with our partners or within our organization. Our goal is to be fully prepared for DORA by the end of 2024, ensuring that we continue to uphold the highest standards of operational resilience and data protection.
